President of the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET) 
 
The World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET) is becoming more important these days as our world is constantly challenged by various problems stemming from energy shortages and ever deteriorating environmental conditions. WSSET should take the leading role in developing effective clean solutions to help save the world.

It has the mandate from the world community to set the proper direction to take in the development of sustainables as our legacy to the coming generations in this 21st century. As a non-profit scientific organization, WSSET should play vital roles in consolidating practical partnerships between academe, government and industry to bring about sustainable future for the sake of ourselves and our planet.

WSSET supports its members in the advancement of sustainable energy technologies in various ways

    • Hosting international seminars and conferences (e.g. SET International conferences)
    • Publishing technical journals (e.g., Int. Journal of Low Carbon Technologies)
    • Bringing together industries, individuals and institutions through communication, co-operation, support and exchange.
    • Encouraging collaborative research projects in sustainable energy technologies 
    • Developing different groups (e.g., HOPE Group for Africa ) addressing issues related to developing countries and important topics related to sustainability
    • Assisting students by offering awards and scholarships
    • Assisting licensing/commercialising of new technologies developed by universities
    • Promoting work in sustainable technologies and eco-buildings
    • Public engagement activities
    • Encourage collaboration between universities and industry
    • Assisting industry with grant applications to various funding bodies
    • Organising seminars/workshops and training programmes
    • Publicising/advertising the work/products carried out by industry active in sustainable energy technologies
